Q: My son’s minor hockey team needs new equipment and we want to fund-raise – can you help us?
A: Yes! Hockey Helps is committed to providing the valuable assist in developing minor hockey programs that are successful, strong, and able to produce the next generation of hockey stars.

Q: My school is looking to raise funds for a large class field trip next spring – can you help us?
A: Absolutely! Hockey Helps provides assistance to schools for a number of reasons, whether it’s for field trips, special events, new textbooks, or other school-based initiatives.

Q: Our company is holding a special fundraising event for a cause important to us – can you help us?

Absolutely! Just let one of our representatives know the particulars of your event and we will be happy to assist you.

Q: How does a Hockey Helps fundraising initiative work?
A: Hockey Helps provides gift certificate packages to your organization, which you then sell to your supporters. These high-quality packages provide immediate value to supporters by giving them three benefits:a $20 gift certificate to the Hockey Helps Online Store, an exclusive authentic autographed collectible of an NHL star, and a second $20 gift certificate to the Hockey Helps Online Store for another great discount on authentic memorabilia. Supporting fundraising initiatives has never been as rewarding as it is with Hockey Helps!

Q: How much do the gift certificate packages cost?
A: Hockey Helps offers two price levels for our packages: $10 and $20.

Q: What is the difference between the two packages?
A: The first two benefits–the $20 gift certificate and entry into the Daily Prize Giveaway–remain the same at both price levels. The $10 package includes an autographed collectible at a 1-in-5 package insert ratio. The $20 package includes an autographed collectible in every package!

Q: Besides selling the packages, is there anything else my initiative has to do?
A: Very little! When you sell each gift certificate package, you also have your supporters fill out the detachable information portion of the package and return them to you. When you have successfully completed your initiative and sold all your packages, you simply send the information portions along with Hockey Helps’ share of the proceeds back to Hockey Helps. That’s it! We take care of the printing of the materials for the packages, we ship them directly to the address your organization provides us, and we register all of the gift certificate codes. Our objective is to make the process as simple as possible for our initiatives so that they can focus strictly on the most important part of the process: fundraising!

Q: Can an individual supporter send their gift certificate information directly to Hockey Helps?
A: Yes, because sales can happen in a variety of methods by each initiative, we do allow purchasers to send their information back to us directly. The Hockey Helps address is:

Q: If my organization signs up for an initiative, what steps do you take to help raise awareness of our efforts?
A: Hockey Helps strives to be an active partner with its fundraising initiatives. We will promote your initiative on our website and social media networks, and we will assist you with any email blasts or other communications you want to send to your network of contacts. If you have any questions during the process of your initiative, you can contact your representative at any time for additional assistance, information, and advice. Remember, our goal is to help you reach your goal!

Q: Is there a minimum number of gift certificate packages that need to be ordered for my initiative?
A: Yes, we require a minimum order of 150 packages.

Q: Is there a limit to the number of gift certificates an individual person can buy?
A: No! If someone wants to support your initiative through multiple gift certificate purchases, they are more than welcome to do so.

Q: Do you share the information from the gift certificates with other companies?
A:
Absolutely not. Hockey Helps uses the information only for its Daily Prize Giveaway notifications, the Gift Certificate activation notification, and for Hockey Helps promotional information emails. We do not share your information, or your supporters’ information, with any third parties.

Questions About Gift Certificate Benefits

Q: If I bought multiple gift certificates , can I combine my gift certificate codes on a single purchase from the Hockey Helps Store?
A: Our store system is set up to allow one gift certificate code per item, per order.

Q: Are the gift certificates active immediately after my purchase?
A: The gift certificates are not activated until the initiative has been completed. When the fundraiser sends back the information portion of the package, we enter the information into our database and generate a unique code for each purchaser’s gift certificate, which is then emailed to the supporter at the email address they provided. We strive to have this completed with 10-14 days of receiving the information from a completed initiative.

Q: My gift certificate code isn’t working! What do I do?
A: Please email info@hockeyhelps.com and we will handle any customer service issues you may experience.

Q: Do supporters get their autographed collectible immediately?
A: Yes! The autographed collectible comes attached to your package in a sealed envelope. When your supporter makes their purchase, they INSTANTLY receive their collectible. Remember, at the $20 level an autograph comes with every gift certificate package sold, and at the $10 level one-in-five packages comes with an autographed collectible.

Q: Are the autographs from the ticket packages pre-printed or real?
A: They are 100% real! Hockey Helps guarantees the authenticity of every autograph from our players. Autograph collectibles are signed in the presence of a Hockey Helps official or sent directly from Hockey Helps to the players , who then return them directly to us.

Q: What can I do with my autograph collectible?
A: Anything! You can frame it, attach it to your favourite poster or photo or to the back of your iPhone, trade them with your friends, or collect them just like you would your favourite hockey cards.

Q: Are there “rare” autographs?
A: Yes! Player selection and insert ratios for autographs can vary from one initiative to another and we also have the players sign some of their autographs with different colours or add inscriptions.

Q: I purchased a gift certificate and did not receive an autographed collectible – what can I do?
A: If you purchased a $10 gift certificate, please remember that only 1-in-5 comes with an autograph. You are not guaranteed an autograph at that price level. If you purchased a $20 gift certificate, please contact us at info@hockeyhelps.com

Questions About Incentives

Q: Do you have special incentives for larger initiatives?
A: Yes! Any initiative that sells 2500 or more gift certificates will be eligible to have an in-person appearance from a participating NHL superstar.

Q: Can my initiative choose or request a specific player appearance if we reach the 2500 ticket sales goal?
A:
Unfortunately no. Player appearances are determined by Hockey Helps based on the availability and schedule of the players who have endorsed Hockey Helps.
